Preparing coffee the Chemex way is a simple yet rewarding process that reveals the pure, nuanced taste of premium single-origin beans. Start by gathering your materials: a Chemex brewer, Chemex-specific filters, coarse-ground arabica, a gooseneck kettle, and soft, chlorine-free water warmed to 93–96°C. Use a grind size similar to sea salt for flavor balance.


Set the filter inside the glass vessel with the triple thick side facing the spout. Wet the filter with boiling water to eliminate cardboard flavor and فروشگاه قهوه to preheat the glass vessel. Discard the rinse water.


Measure and deposit the coffee into the filter using a a 1:15 coffee-to-water ratio. When using a 6-cup Chemex this is roughly 30 grams of coffee.
